How to install Semaphore UI on Kubernetes with use of Helm
This guide will walk you through the process of installing Semaphore UI using Helm, the Kubernetes package manager, ensuring a smooth and efficient setup.
Before we begin, ensure you have the following tools installed and configured:
First, add the repository containing the Semaphore UI helm chart:
helm repo add semaphoreui https://semaphoreui.github.io/charts
helm repo update
helm search repo semaphore
Isolating applications within Kubernetes namespaces is a good practice. To deploy Semaphore UI in its own namespace:
kubectl create namespace semaphore-ui
Now, you'll install Semaphore UI. The helm chart name is "semaphore":
helm install semaphore-ui semaphoreui/semaphore --namespace semaphore-ui --create-namespace
After installation, verify that your Semaphore UI deployment is running smoothly:
kubectl get pods --namespace semaphore-ui
kubectl get all --namespace semaphore-ui
This process may require customizing your deployment through a customized values.yaml file, which specifies configuration options.
helm install semaphore-ui semaphoreui/semaphore --values values.yaml --namespace semaphore-ui
Accessing Semaphore UI will depend on your chosen service configuration (LoadBalancer, NodePort, or Ingress). For Ingress access, ensure an Ingress controller is operational in your cluster.
Follow the instructions in the helm install notes, the output of Step 3.
